- “Alternative energy’s shift to the mainstream is largely complete and likely irreversible,” according to “Trends to Watch in Alternative Energy,” a newly released report by the Deloitte Center for Energy Solutions. The study outlines eight trends driving renewables growth which include community solar, the Clean Power Plan and major corporations (like Apple and Google) buying renewables.
- Pakistan’s parliament is the first in the world to run entirely on solar power. The solar power plant produces 80 MW of electricity and is expected to save the country approximately $1 million annually. A formal unveiling is expected later this month.
