“Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, ‘what are you doing for others?’” – Martin Luther King, Jr.
Today honors the life and accomplishments of Martin Luther King Jr., Nobel Prize winner, minister and social activist who played a pivotal role in bringing the civil rights movement to the forefront. He led by example to unite people and change the status quo. Because of his commitment to his vision, he inspired others to be part of something greater than themselves.
Today is celebrated as the official MLK Day of Service, but each day presents an opportunity to be part of something greater than ourselves. Whether at work, at school or in our communities, there are many ways that we can giveback and help those around us. As a company, we are an integral part of the communities in which we live, work and serve. Our values and core operating principles help us to demonstrate this in our day-to-day.

Core Operating Principles: Safety, Environmental Stewardship, Customer Focus, Community Focus, Operational Excellence, Performance-Driven Culture
Many of our colleagues serve as leaders in their community volunteering their time and sharing their knowledge to help those around them. Throughout the week, we’ll be sharing examples on our social channels of how our colleagues embody leadership in their communities. We invite you to visit our social communities (listed below) to learn how we are honoring Dr. King’s legacy through everyday service.
