Michael Segura was enjoying a consulting career – including a contract with TXU Energy – when he got the chance to apply for a job inside the company. It was the people and culture that made him take the leap, he told Minority Engineer magazine.
In a feature about engineers in the U.S. utility sector, Michael said he could see a customer-focus while working on a consulting contract with TXU Energy.
“I could see the company’s dedication to its people and to the consumers,” he said.
Today, Michael is director of architecture and innovation within the business technology team at TXU Energy. He holds a bachelor’s of science degree in computer science from Lamar University and has related course work from Southern Methodist University and the U.S. Naval Academy.
