- A federal court has rejected an appeal to block to the Clean Power Plant, ruling that the petitioners must wait for the rule to be published in the Federal Register before they can file a lawsuit, Utility Dive reports.
- A House panel approved a bill that delays a rule intended to protect waterways near coal mining operations. The Hill reports, “Republicans have slammed the rule, arguing [the Office of Surface Mining] has not been transparent in its formulation and that federal officials didn’t take states’ input into consideration.” The bill now moves to the House for consideration.
