Billie Williamson, a member of EFH’s board of directors, will be honored today with the 2015 Distinguished Alumni Award from Southern Methodist University. She is one of four business and civic leaders who will receive this year’s award, the highest honor SMU gives to its graduates.
Williamson was one of the first women partners at Ernst & Young LLP, where she worked to significantly advance women and minorities in the public accounting profession. Williamson also held executive positions at AMX and Marriott. Now retired, Williams is helping nurture a pipeline of future women leaders.
In addition to serving as chair of EFH’s board audit committee, she serves on the boards of directors of Pentair plc and Janus Capital Group, as well as the boards of the Dallas Symphony Foundation and a number of Dallas charities.
