- “Utility and power grid managers in the U.S. are learning that the best way to cut carbon emissions and improve efficiency is the easiest: Just change your lightbulbs,” Bloomberg writes. Experts say changing from incandescent to LED bulbs, and other energy-conservation efforts, have done more to reduce carbon emissions than the increased use of renewable energy sources.
- Fifteen states say the Clean Power Plan will immediately force them to start working toward compliance and asked a federal court Thursday to delay the rule while they work to file a lawsuit, The Hill reports. The same states asked the Environmental Protection Agency to delay the rule last week, but the agency has not yet responded.
