- According to The Dallas Business Journal, Bill Magnes has been selected to succeed H.B. “Trip” Doggett as president and CEO of the Electric Reliability Council of Texas. Magnes currently serves as ERCOT’s general counsel and senior vice president of governance risk and compliance.
- “For the first-time ever, residential electricity prices in areas of Texas with deregulated retail electric service have remained below the national average for two consecutive years,” Business Wire writes. Reports indicate a growing number of plans under deregulation have prices that meet or beat those offered outside of the deregulated electric market.
