Permit decision nears for Texas nuclear reactors; ERCOT to raise fee for electric providers

  • The Nuclear Regulatory Commission is expected to issue a permit for two new nuclear reactors in South Texas by next spring, The San Antonio Business Journal reports. If approved, the proposed project would provide the state an extra 2,700 megawatts of electricity.
  • The Electric Reliability Council of Texas has filed plans to increase the system administration fee for retail electric providers by 20 percent, Retail Energy X writes.
