  • The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency would resolve disputes between state agencies, and its regulatory powers and resources would be shifted to state agencies under Wisconsin Gov. and Republican presidential candidate Scott Walker’s plans. From The Associated Press article:

    “The EPA, Walker said, should become “an umbrella organization that really is limited to mediating interstate conflicts over, say, where a body of water or a piece of land goes through multiple states.””

  • Natural gas prices are rising due to increased heat and consumer demand, especially in the Eastern U.S. Still, analysts expect cooler weather in August could lower demand and prices, The Wall Street Journal reports.
