  • The Texas legislature refused to consider bills that would allow Tesla to circumvent state dealership laws to sell its electric cars directly to consumers, Business Insider reports, though the federal government appears to be supportive Tesla’s efforts.
  • “The electric power sector accounts for just 3.3 percent of U.S. freshwater consumption, according to the U.S. Geological Survey,” The Hill writes. Using recycled water for cooling, developing air-cooled reactors and expanding the use of desalination technology are among the nuclear energy industry’s innovative water stewardship practices.
