To honor the men and women of the armed forces who died serving their country, the people of EFH, Luminant and TXU Energy and their families join Flags for Fallen Vets volunteers each Memorial Day in placing more than 35,000 flags on the graves at DFW National Cemetery. While these heroes deserve our nation’s gratitude, we also take time to thank America’s veterans and those currently serving for their contributions. We believe these men and women can be a tremendous asset to the civilian workforce and are honored to help recruit and transition military leaders into careers powering Texas.
We’re privileged to help veterans in their career development through our veterans mentoring program, joining the Department of Veteran Affairs in furthering economic opportunities for veterans, and reaffirming our support of employee active participation in the military.
Veterans interested in a career in the energy industry can hear from some of the veterans working for our companies and follow our progress in serving veterans in our communities.
