- Although the EPA hasn’t yet issued its final version of the Clean Power Plan, opponents are already heading to court. The L.A. Times reports that the first legal hearing begins today as opponents to the Obama administration’s far-reaching climate change plan will argue that the proposed rules are illegal. They say that the Clean Air Act prohibits “double regulation” of power plants and the EPA has already instituted rules to lower emissions.
- Energy Future Holdings is being honored by the YWCA of Metropolitan Dallas for its commitment to including women and minority-owned businesses in its supplier base. The Dallas Morning News reports that EFH is one of two corporate winners of the Mentors & Allies awards to be presented May 11.
