  • A bill filed in the Texas legislature would prohibit the introduction of a capacity market in the Electric Reliability Council of Texas without amending the 20 percent market share cap on installed generating capacity, Retail Energy X reports.
  • The country’s overall residential electricity prices increased about 3 percent last year as compared to 2013, driven by higher regional wholesale prices, increased spending on infrastructure and growing renewable generation requirements, Fuel Fix reports.
