- Texas consumers use more electricity than other states’ consumers and burn the second most gallons of vehicle fuel, Fuel Fix reports.
- A milder winter, a rebound in gas stockpiles and lower oil prices should mean lower home heating costs for most of the country, the Energy Information Administration says.
- The EIA also predicts that electricity from renewable sources will increase by 6 percent next year, while overall daily electricity consumption will increase 0.6 percent, Bloomberg reports.
