- Car companies and electric utilities are working together to figure out how to keep plug-in electric vehicles from overwhelming the electric grid. The Houston Chronicle reports the two groups are working on technology that could pause or slow EV charging during times of high demand.
- The Sierra Club is ending its opposition to the Kemper clean-coal power plant in return for the plant’s owner burning less coal in Mississippi and Alabama, donating millions to help residents make energy-efficiency upgrades and encouraging solar power development, according to the Wall Street Journal.
