  • A Deloitte survey reveals that energy executives are pessimistic on future growth of the industry, according to Fuel Fix, citing low natural gas prices, flat oil prices and rising expenses.
  • The Hill reports Sen. Mitch McConnell wants to attach an amendment blocking the EPA’s carbon emissions rules for new and existing coal power plants to an unemployment bill before the Senate.
  • In Oklahoma, rooftop solar panels and small wind turbines will be assessed a new surcharge to send excess electricity back into the grid under legislation being considered. The Daily Oklahoman reports that opponents say the bill would curtail a growing industry in the state.
