Nearly all Americans support a diversity of energy sources to supply the country’s electricity, according to survey results released today by the Nuclear Energy Institute.
Reliability, clean-air effectiveness, affordability and efficiency are of primary importance to Americans in electricity generation, the survey shows, with 63 percent of those surveyed favoring the use of nuclear energy as one way to produce electricity in the U.S.
Luminant maintains a diverse portfolio of reliable, low-cost nuclear and coal plants to fuel more than 15,400 megawatts of capacity, including 2,300 MW fueled by nuclear power, 5,110 fueled by natural gas and 8,000 MW fueled by coal.
