Children of TXU Energy employees learn what their parents do at work

Children have fun learning about energy and solar power.

TXU Energy’s Parents at Work and Women’s Information Network organizations hosted a Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day event for the children of employees on Thursday. Twenty-three children aged seven to 18 spent the day at work with their parents.

The children participated in exercises that helped them understand the role of energy and solar power. Some of the older children attended a professional etiquette class where they learned important tips.

“The discussion was very informative to me as I prepare for college life,” said eighteen-year-old Terry Williams, the son of Patricia Morales, a member of the IT Architect team. Terry will be a freshman this fall, majoring in theater, at Tarleton State University in Stephenville.

Children enjoyed lunch with their parents and ended the day by watching the movie “Frozen.” JaCobey, the nephew of Business Markets team member Chris Schuchardt, really enjoyed the movie and the

“TXU Energy is the best place ever!” JaCobey exclaimed. “I would love to come here every single day of my life!”
